MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR - MICRO AIR DIVISION - 1ST SHIFT

 

This position is responsible for the supervision and coordination of the direct activities of production personnel ensuring an efficient, consistent manufacturing and assembly of manufactured goods as needed to satisfy internal and external customers.

 

Duties Include:

  • Regular, in-person attendance at the Company’s facilities
  • Direct supervision and coordination production personnel activities
  • Daily oversight of production personnel in multiple work areas
  • Establishing work schedules, assignments, and production sequences
  • Analyzing charts, work orders, and production schedules to determine production requirements
  • Ensuring product is produced to internal standards in a safe and efficient manner
  • Management of employee relations issues
  • Facilitating cross-training and on-the-job training of production personnel


Job Location & Schedule:

This position is located at 2009 S. West St., Wichita, Kansas 67213
This is an exempt position, normal schedule is Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Must be able to work outside of the schedule due to business demands.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Three to five years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity
  • Ability to work daily and weekend overtime as required by business demands
  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints
  • Proficient computer skills

HumAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

 

Summary:

The HR Generalist independently administers key HR programs in an office and manufacturing environment. The position is responsible for the overall administration of payroll and timekeeping controls; leads high-volume direct-hire and temporary staffing, onboarding, and benefits-enrollment activities; and advises employees and management regarding employee relations, leave, attendance, benefits, and policy application. The successful candidate uses sound judgment, sees how HR decisions affect operations, and escalates high-risk matters to the HR Director.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the biweekly payroll process from data validation and register audit through reconciliation, discrepancy resolution, final review, and timely submission.
  • Administer timekeeping, leave, and attendance controls; resolve non-routine exceptions and coordinate FMLA, ADA accommodation, workers' compensation, and company-leave records.
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting and high-volume temporary staffing, including sourcing strategies, candidate evaluation, hiring recommendations, offers, placements, conversions, and agency performance.
  • Manage pre-employment and onboarding from accepted offer through integration, including background checks, drug testing, Form I-9, employee records, system access, payroll setup, and orientation.
  • Administer benefits enrollments and employment-status changes; interpret eligibility, reconcile payroll, carrier, and HRIS records, and resolve non-routine coverage issues.
  • Conduct employee-relations investigations, respond to complaints, advise managers on policy and corrective action, and recommend resolutions within delegated authority.
  • Conduct compliance audits; support required filings and unemployment-claim responses; analyze workforce trends; deliver HR training; and contribute to policy, systems, records, and process-improvement projects.

 

Job Requirements & Competencies:

  • High school diploma or GED and two to five years of progressively responsible HR experience, including relevant payroll and timekeeping, employee-relations, and recruiting experience.
  • Working knowledge of wage-and-hour, leave, accommodation, equal-employment, and other applicable employment requirements.
  • Experience with HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, and applicant-tracking systems, plus strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Sound judgment, analytical and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines with limited day-to-day supervision.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or a similar certification.
  • Manufacturing or other shift-based workforce experience.
  • Experience managing high-volume hourly recruitment and temporary-staffing agencies.


Job Location & Schedule:

  • This is an on-site position at 3025 W. May St., Wichita, KS 67213.
  • Office hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
  • The role works among local company locations as business needs require and may occasionally travel overnight.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - 1ST SHIFT

  

Metal-Fab, Inc. is seeking Maintenance Technicians for 1st Shift

  

Duties Include:

  • Complete incoming maintenance work orders on fabrication and shop equipment
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make needed repairs
  • Performs electrical installation and repair work
  • Performs PLC programming
  • Rough carpentry work
  • Repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks, clogged lines and drains
  • Perform Predictive and Preventative maintenance tasks as assigned
  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
  • Ability to work within a team environment and follow all safety procedures

 

Job Location & Schedule:

This position is based in Wichita, Kansas

1st Shift:
Monday-Friday: 5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. (or later)
Saturday (if scheduled): 5:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

 

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree
  • Technically competent, with five or more years of experience with basic mechanical, pneumatics, plumbing, electrical and hydraulic systems or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and technical experience.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment
  • Willing to help with other maintenance tasks as needed
  • Ability to mentor maintenance staff
  • Must be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams, repair manuals, parts catalogs, work orders
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing atmosphere safely and following safety practices and regulations

Duties Include:

  • Audits manufacturing processes to verify compliance with manufacturing procedures, policies and specifications
  • Lead, train and motivate operators in the line inspection procedures
  • Verify engineering change orders as to accuracy
  • Receiving inspection of material and parts
  • Verification of first run parts
  • Maintenance of files for listing agencies

Duties Include:

  • Operate a forklift
  • Change forklift propane tanks
  • Perform basic forklift preventative maintenance
  • Accurately place and retrieve inventory goods
  • Order pulling/picking
  • Load and unload material and product
  • Operate scanning equipment
  • Perform inventory stock counts

1st shift hours 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
2nd shift hours 3:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
